Bug Description
Text is occasionally rendered such that random letters throughout all applications are missing. This appears to only affect the system default font. Changing the text scaling factor via something like Ubuntu Tweak resolves the issue, as does changing the system default font. The issue reappears, however, upon reboot.

Justin Toniazzo, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
As per https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Releases, Ubuntu 14.10 reached EOl on July 23, 2015.
Is this reproducible in a supported release?
