Bug Description
This can only be undone by minimizing and maximizing an application window. The brightness controls on the keyboard are ignored so far that the unity popup with a growing bar for brightness shows up (like when I increase the sound volume), but nothing happens with the brightness.

Karl-Philipp Richter, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
As per https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Releases, Ubuntu 14.10 is EOL as of July 23, 2015.
Is this reproducible in a supported release?
