Bug Description

After an upgrade to latest-hoary, X no longer starts on my laptop, the error is:

(EE) I810(0): Given depth (1) is not supported by I830 driver

This laptop has been upgraded from Warty, and I've never manually configured X
in any way (I don't even really know how to for Xorg). This is the first version
that's given this error.

Here's the lspci entry, I'll attach Xorg.0.log too:

0000:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp. 82852/855GM Integrated
Graphics Device (rev 02)
0000:00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corp. 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics
Device (rev 02)

I saw the same behaviour on an s3virge system with 6.8.2-5; is it likely to be
fixed as well, or a different bug?
