When shutting down from the above GPU hang using `sudo shutdown`, the screen starts working and displays the following
[drm:intel_ pipe_config_ compare] *ERROR* mismatch in adjusted_ mode.crtc_ htotal (expected 1712, found 1440)
After which the system hangs and Ctrl-Alt-Del is required to fully shut down.
