Bug Description

Laptop is set to suspend when the lid is closed. System will not display desktop after reopening the lid. Sometimes you can get the desktop back by using CTRL/ALT F1 and then CTRL/ALT F7, but only if the cusor is still displayed with the black screen. The system will usually return the desktop if SUDO PM-RESUME is typed into the terminal screen, but occasionally that will fail as well when the laptop lid is opened. Then it's reboot time.
Laptop is a HP Pavillion dv6245us with Intel chip set, including internal graphics 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03).

Is anyone going to look at this? I submitted this bug report back in October and no activity at all.. This bug has been around since my and it's really beginning to get old.

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but I did update the bios. Here's the output of the
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

F.2E

I still have the same problem.

sheepscrossing, to see if this already fixed, could you please test a live environment of http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?
