Bug Description
My desktop is behind a KVM, so DDC is not an option. Instead, I
dpkg-reconfigure at priority low, use the "Advanced" monitor path, enter my sync
ranges, and accept the default of "Yes" to write them out. This gives me a
correct configuration.
However, after upgrading (to 6.8.2-2), I get asked the video mode question
(unnecessarily, and without my previous answer as default), and it overwrites my
configuration with one which uses sync ranges calculated from the mode, rather
than the ones I specified manually. Then I must dpkg-reconfigure again to get a
correct configuration.
