2014-02-16 22:23:17 penalvch description This is the same as bug 1161102 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161102). The initial symptoms are that Ubuntu will suddenly log me out of the session. This happens when using Thunderbird Mail and TrueCombat Elite. Looking at ~/.xsession-errors shows the error message "XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server" just before the crash. Running Glxgears will also cause this error message to be displayed. It seems to be a problem that affects both NVIDIA and ATI cards, judging by what I saw when googling the error message. My card is a Radeon X850 PRO AGP, I'm running Ubuntu 13.10.
