Bug Description

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68524 exists in Ubuntu 13.10 . It takes 5 seconds on my very fast computer with my very fast graphics card to maximize an openoffice calc windows, which is ridiculous. Other stuff is slow too.

Thue Janus Kristensen, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.

I'm also experiencing this issue which also seems to be related to this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71813 where a fix is now available.

Is there any chance to get these changes into 13.10?

Re #1:

I switched to Arch Linux for now (which has the same problem btw), so I will not easily be able to run apport-collect.
