I don't know what package(s) xorg.conf concerns, but the problem is that
a. On many computers running Feisty 7.04 and Gutsy 7.10 Tribe 1/Daily Build it gives an error of the xserver.
b. It is necessary to go back to the true console, open nano with sudo priveleges and edit the xorg.conf file:
Insert the following lines into the Monitor section:
HorizSync 36-52
VertRefresh 36-60
And on some computers eliminate all resolutions except "640x480".
And then issue commands
1.sudo killall gdm
2.sudo gdm
Where the GDM starts up correctly. |
