Bug Description

DRI not working on a i945GZ chipset.

Much the same as Bug #35741 but this is with freshly insalled and updated Gutsy Tribe 1.
And I have just the i945GZ chipset, no ATI card.

I can confirm this on Gutsy Tribe 1 using Intel 945GM (Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop), intel driver.

Try installing the libgl1-mesa-dri package.
Since compiz is installed by default, i think this package should be too.

I can confirm this issue on a Dell Latitude X1, using Intel i915GMS.

Installing libgl1-mesa-dri enables "direct rendering".

The bug still exist on Gutsy (20070629) Kubuntu 32 bits.
I confirm that installing libgl1-mesa-dri and Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, enables DRI.

Had try Gutsy (20070629) Ubuntu 64 bits earlier today, was working fine out of the box.

This is also on Debian Unstable...i think a package is missing some dependencies.
