Bug Description
Ubuntu 13.04
After recieving the last set of updates the screen resolution was incorrect and borders were missing. I moved from the Nvidia drivers to the default Xorg, while that fixed the resolution Unity/borders still missing.
Attempted a fresh install of the system but no difference.

Crisis averted. Whatever happened entering the following fixed the issue;
sudo apt-get purge fglrx lightdm && sudo apt-get install lightdm ubuntu-desktop
