Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Running feisty on a laptop with a Synaptics touchpad. After installation of feisty, everything works fine.
The touchpad has a 4-way scroll button in the middle of the two standard buttons. Tapping on the touchpad is interpreted as a click or double click. Double-
If I remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf, everything keeps on running OK, (in fact it *seems* faster -- can it be?) but the touchpad loses its tap-and-drag and scroll-key abilities, and acts as a simple mouse, just as if there were no Synaptics entry in xorg.conf. In fact, Xorg.0.log has these lines:

Using the default mouse configuration.
If I restore xorg.conf, everything goes back to normal.
