Bug Description
There seems to be quite a few of us trying to fix this problem on Dell Laptops. The problem is simple there is a cursor running bottom to top near the right part of the screen in both ubuntu and kubuntu (7.04). The problem on the Dell Latitude C600(the one I have) goes away on manually editing the xorg.conf file and increasing the wrongly detected resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768. The other machines still have the problem. Such a problem including wrong detection of screen resolution was not present on previous ubuntu releases.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add your '/etc/X11/ xorg.conf' file and your '/var/log/ Xorg.0. log' file as attachments to your bug report? Thanks in advance.
