Bug Description

The main problem is with the brigthness of the screen. The system doesn't keep the custom settings of the backlight, so after restart, the brightness is again at the minimum level. That happens after every rstart.

I'm also affected by this on Ubuntu 12.10, a workaround is to set the desired default backlight brightness by adding

# brightness fix after boot
echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness

before exit 0

in /etc/rc.local. 0 is the minimum, usually, 0-15 can be used.

@m-sigalas86: I notice that you are not using fglrx (does not support your Evergreen graphics card). It's good.

@Rafał: I have tried that line and the whole screen highlights, returning to the original brightness. I cannot change the default brightness. I use 12.10 on the AMD 6230.
