Bug Description

Distribution: Kubuntu

Expected behaviour: Clicking on "log out" and then "turn off" should turn off the computer.

What happens: Two seconds after clicking on "turn off", the screen goes black (the power light on the monitor flashes because it's not getting any input). Usplash does not come up. Switching to a virtual console does not work. The computer does not respond to any input and there is no harddrive activity. The off switch needs to be held down for 5 seconds for the computer to power down.

Workaround: If I first "log off", I can use "shutdown" from kdm. Usplash comes up and the computer shuts down normally.

Hardware: ATI Radeon 9550, P4 prescott, 2 gigs of RAM.

There were no problems with Edgy. System is up to date with latest Feisty.
