Bug Description
After upgrading from Ubuntu 6.10 (which did not have this problem) and restarting, the screen resolution is set to 800x600, although the native resolution is 1024x768. Furthermore, gnome-display-
I believe the video on this laptop is an S3 Savage IX8.
