X freezes if the USB headphone is plugged

Bug Description

If the headphone USB jack is plugged X crashes with segmentation fault and no login page or ttys are available. In case the headphone usb is not plugged, I can login, but the moment I plug, X crashes.

Reading the instructions, now, I think X actually freezes it does not actually drop a login prompt. I have to wait till get another machine to ssh to mine while it is freezing.

There is a backtrace in the XorgLogOld.txt attached above and it is the one that freezes X.

it is not a crash, it just freezes. It does not drop a login prompt.

now, it stopped crashing because of the USB headset, however, it is hangs more often with this error thrown

What made it stop crashing? I'm having the exact same problem... Is someone addressing this problem? Should I provide system or debug info to help move this forward? (desperate because I need USB headset for work)
