Bug Description

It just defaults to 800x600. I tried to view the xorg.conf but it does not exist. I know ubuntu now uses lightdm but i am unaware of what changes were made. I am looking into the docs now.

Osiloke Emoekpere, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

It seems to have been fixed from 12.04, sorry for not giving any feedback since then. When this issue occurred i got really frustrated and left my netbook but when i upgraded to 12.04, it was fixed and i had forgotten about this ticket.

I cannot exactly state what was fixed since all i did was perform an upgrade.

Thanks
