Added Option "RandRRotation" "true" to xorg.conf. Got rotation option with nvidia XServer settings, but when clicking an arrow to rotate the settings window vanished, and nothing happened.

I can confirm this.

nvidia-settings crashes whenever trying to use rotation arrows with RandRRotation option enabled.

I've appended the error message of nvidia-settings.

The xorg-server packages from -proposed appear to have fixed this issue. I can now rotate the screen via nvidia-settings without any crashes.
