Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago, I installed Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64 on my AMD 64 desktop computer. Everything works well except the 3D acceleration required in some games. The graphics are running very slowly and/or flickering, or crash. I have an ATI Radeon RS482 Xpress 200 and the open-source Xserver-xorg-video-radeon and -ati doesn't seem to take charge correctly of 3D. No proprietary fglrx drivers fit my hardware requirements (is my video card too old?). Any clue on this puzzling situation?

Thanks you guys,
Andre.

Hey Andre,

Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty?

If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty
and run the command:

  apport-collect <bug-number>

which will update the bug with fresh logs and tag the bug as affecting
natty. (It is best to run this right after reproducing the problem.)
