Bug Description

Hi,

The X server failed to start after I installed the xorg
update as prompted by the update-manager. I tried the
following, but still had no luck getting X to work again:

   dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg (as root)

   I have attached the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and the output of lspci -v.

Same problem here too.

Try to downgrade to an older xorg-core package with

apt-get install xserver-xorg-core=1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10

Hey,

   Thanks for the tip:

   apt-get install xserver-xorg-core

   fixed the issue.
