Commit Log for Tue Aug 22 08:10:32 2006

Upgraded the following packages:
xnest (1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.1) to 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3
xserver-xorg-core (1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.1) to 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3

        Memory at fe9e0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]

worked well before this update

New error messages:
/etc/X11$ grep EE !$
grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Current Operating System: Linux moduli.cscf 2.6.15-26-686 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Aug 3 03:13:28 UTC 2006 i686
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.so
(EE) Failed to load module "GLcore" (loader failed, 7)
(II) Loading extension MIT-SCREEN-SAVER
(EE) No devices detected.

So I guess I should disable loading of these but clearly
they worked before the update.....

On the same update I have troubles, because the scanpci of xorg does not find my nvidia agp card anymore.

It reports
"PCI: 0 domains"
at the pciscan and later it says
"no device found"
at the end

(no wonder, no pci means no cards...)

So my X stays dark, and even changing the driver to nv, or vesa doesn't help.

I had to downgrade to get my system running again... (luckily the older version ist still on the mirrors...)

see Xorg.0.log of Walter for details... (it shows the same strange messages than mine did.)

It is interesting to note that this does not depend on which
graphics card used. I also saw the same error with

0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82865G/PE/P PCI to AGP Controller (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode])
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, fast devsel, latency 64
        Bus: primary=00, secondary=01, subordinate=01, sec-latency=64
        I/O behind bridge: 0000c000-0000cfff
        Memory behind bridge: fe900000-fe9fffff
        Prefetchable memory behind bridge: d7f00000-f7efffff

getting rid of the GLcore module did not help nor did the
additional dri module (using intel internal graphics card)
