upgrade of xserver-xorg-core breaks xserver

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core

upgrading to xserver-xorg-core version 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3 breaks xserver with following error:

(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error
No screens found
XIO: Fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

I've had this too. I've got ATI X800SE and im running dapper x86_64. I tried both fglrx driver and radeon ('ati' driver has never worked with my card since day 1).
I dropped back down to 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10 and it's up again no problem.
I've attached my Xorg.0.log file in case it helps anyone find a fix.

I confirm this. Ubuntu forums got crowded after this update was released for Dapper http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=240957&page=3
