Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

After upgrade to Lucid Lynx(beta) I wasn't able to start Rhythmbox, meaning it starts and after a second or so my X session gets destroyed.

lsb_release -rd:
Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release: 10.04

apt-cache policy rhythmbox:
rhythmbox:
  Installed: 0.12.8-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 0.12.8-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 0.12.8-0ubuntu3 0
        500 http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Expected: rhythmbox start
Happened: my x session was aborted

There's not much I can report in addition, gdb's not catching any exceptions and all I get is back to GDM login screen.
Hopefully it's related to the last reported message which is "rhythmbox: Fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server :0.0."

Now it's getting weird. Have a look at the attached xorg log. The only errors there are about Wacom Volito driver and so far looks like if I unplug the tablet, then I'm able to start the Rhythmbox (so far it's the only application causing the problem).

I'm out of ideas, but will gladly provide any information you may require.

As an user I can confirm this crash.
First after I start Rhythmbox my Wacom Tablet starts blinking and soon after the x-server crashes..

durilka, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.
