Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
On a babbage 3 board (imx51) with the 20100317 image, I booted the live image, clicked on accessories, and opened a gnome-terminal. In the terminal, I wanted to check if there were any problems that had not been popped up by apport yet, so I typed ls /var/crash. As soon as I hit enter, X restarted completely and I was dumped back to the graphical login. After logging back in, I tried the same operation and nothing happened. However, I can also confirm that there is nothing in /var/crash.

What does 'cat /proc/fb' show on this system?
This looks an awful lot like bug #540256, which we respun the i386/amd64 desktop and netbook images for, but not armel. Sorry about that, I asked Tobin yesterday morning whether the ARM hardware we targeted works reliably with the plymouth graphical splash, and he thought it all did, but it seems this might not be the case.
