SYMPTOMS: Monitor reports out of frequency after a fresh install. after a hard reset of machine or a restart of X through ctrl alt sysrq k the problem is resolved.
CAUSE: Unknown
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1) install from a live cd: select entire disk, login automaticly
2) restart machine
