Tester release: Kubuntu 9.04 Beta, Live CD.
Hardware: Packard Bell EasyNote MX45-211 (Intel 945GM/GMS)

After the boot, KDE displays all the text extremely oversized and this makes KDE unusable. I experienced the same behavior on Kubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 Live CD. A similar behavior is reported as bug #219629, but my monitor could be different, so I'm filing a new bug report as suggested there.
I'm attaching the Xorg.0.log file. I also credit Tormod Volden who found the following lines inside that file:

(II) intel(0): clock: 71.2 MHz Image Size: 289 x 21 mm
Needed quirk: quirk_detailed_v_in_cm
(II) intel(0): EDID vendor "LPL", prod id 47360 |
