2009-02-16 18:49:39 Chris Coulson xorg: statusexplanation Thank you for your bug report. It is not obvious from the information you've provided why the second session fails to start. Could you please try switching user, and then attaching your /var/log/Xorg.20.log and /var/log/Xorg.20.log.old files if you have them? Thanks

2009-03-06 05:47:47 Bryce Harrington description Binary package hint: xorg Using intrepid 32bit, with latest updates. When I try to switch user, or start a guest session, screen locks, but nothing else happens, and I am just stuck at the locked screen. I unlock it and see a "cannot start new display" error. I tried running gdmflexiserver with -d option to see what happens... but that's not too helpful: gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Sending command: 'VERSION' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Got response: 'GDM 2.20.8' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Sending command: 'AUTH_LOCAL e8d364c4fa93aea39a02c39a53983c61' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Got response: 'OK' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Sending command: 'AUTH_LOCAL e8d364c4fa93aea39a02c39a53983c61' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Got response: 'OK' gdmflexiserver[998]: DEBUG: Sending command: 'FLEXI_XSERVER_USER :guest' didn't see anything that looked suspicious in xorg.0.log either, but maybe i didn't look well :) Please let me know if there's any other info I can enclose that may be helpful...
