Bug Description

After installing all updates on my DELL XPS 13 2018, I have the fan making a lot of noise and system heating.

Looking into the processes, Xorg is eating 28% of the CPU, and also update-mime-dat(abase).

This is now a frequent problem and it's eating the battery and slowing down other applications.

I suspect Xorg using high CPU is due to the rendering load of some graphical app(s) like gnome-system-monitor.

Please close gnome-system-monitor and all other graphical apps and then try running just 'top'. Please then send us fresh 'top' command output.
