Even xorg -version is not allowed by non console users (caused by the wrapper)

Bug Description

Some drivers like http://www.eeti.com.tw/drivers_Linux.html do a X -version to determine the X version. Unluckily this is not allowed by the Xorg-wrapper ("only allowed by console users") May I ask that if the only parameter is "-version", either the /usr/bin/Xorg script doesn't use the wrapper, or the wrapper allows the usage?

After "hackfixing" this this driver (and aspecially the calibration tool) is working very well.

Confirmed the bug is in 18.10, but not in 16.04. What version of Ubuntu are you using?
