1) Regarding the following non-default kernel parameters in use, could you please advise to each individually on why it was put in place, and if it is necessary for the touchpad to work:
nouveau.modeset=0
tpm_tis.interrupts=0
acpi_osi=Linux
i915.preliminary_hw_support=1
idle=nomwait
