Bug Description
Was searching for a method to disable DPMS via a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and discovered this bug. Under a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 minimal desktop installation, after stopping gdm3 and executing "sudo X -configure" in /etc/X11 subdirectory to create an xorg.conf file, this happens:

Personal Note:
Will create ugly hack to solve my problem while this bug gets fixed. Not holding my breathe, please add "you don't need an xorg.conf file" comments below. :D
