[nvidia] Black screen on login, then freeze

When I log into my system I'm stuck at a black screen for a while. After waiting about a minute gnome shell is loaded but as mainly frozen.
I guess it is an xorg problem, but I'm not at all sure about that.
It could also be a gnome-shell issue.
That happens since I updated from 17.10 to 18.04
