Cursor disappears when busy if compiz is on

The busy icon disappears when I'm using compiz.

Instead of displaying the rotating waiting icon, there is no cursor. It may be a compiz problem, or an X problem.

Do not tell ezoom to hide the real mouse cursor, it makes all animated cursors size 1x1 until you restart X (even if you switch to metacity). This is a problem with the X server.

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.

Still an issue for me in Jaunty -- was going to reopen as invited to in #3, but actually #163047 appears to be about the same issue but with more information, so I've marked this as a duplicate of that instead.

Actually, #227907 looks like a much clearer and uncluttered bug to mark this one as a duplicate of. Sorry for the noise.
