Bug Description

With the version of xserver-xorg-core in Trusty, the file /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-quirks.conf includes "quirks" for the Evoluent Mouse that go against what users were used to, what is recommended by the manufacturer and what is configured in other Operating Systems.

The change has already been reverted in Fedora:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=612140

And has also been reported in Debian:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=739537

Please remove the Evoluent stanza from the file. This is a regression in the previous and expected behavior, and as such, the fix should be backported to Trusty.

Thanks!

Please accept this patch. Having my mouse buttons switch when I upgraded to Trusty was an unwelcome surprise and cost me productivity until I found the workaround. There must be others like me. I'm sure the person who added this "quirk" for this mouse had good intentions, but they should not have overridden the manufacturer recommendation and caused needless change for users, and their change should be undone.

Ping?

This is still affecting Trusty and it's a bad regression.
