Bug Description

with a running gnome-shell 3.10 session, i upgraded to the latest 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6.1 xorg-server packages. then noticed that gnome-shell would periodically freeze up for almost a minute at a time.

downgrading those packages to 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6 seems to have fixed the issue, even without restarting gnome-shell

$ dpkg -l |grep 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6
ii xserver-common 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6 all common files used by various X servers
ii xserver-xephyr 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6 amd64 nested X server
ii xserver-xorg-core 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6 amd64 Xorg X server - core server
ii xserver-xorg-dev 2:1.13.3-0ubuntu6 amd64 Xorg X server - development files

x server started wtih -0ubuntu6, then upgraded to 6.1 wihtout restarting X or gnome-shell and started to see freezes. may have restarted gnome-shell once or twice, but never restarted X, then downgraded and freezes stopped.
