Bug Description

using system-compositor-testing ppa for multimonitor testing (intel mm7)
using displayPort connection
when running phoronix openarena the benchmark attempts to reconfigure displays but fails to do so
when in extended desktop mode the benchmark runs as if both screens are one large screen, the benchmark can be seen split between the two displays.
when in mirror mode, the outputs are mirrored as expected

Tested system-compositor-testing ppa for multimonitor testing (intel mm7)
on VGA cable with 2nd monitor in extended desktop mode
in this instance, unity remains displayed on the 2nd display - but renders as expected on the built-in display (the unity display seemed to update, at least the minute on the clock updated)

VGA- for mirror mode, the benchmark is seen on both screens

This isn't anything like bug 1216748 is it?

i think its different, bug 1216748 is more about relative-virtual positioning of the displays.
whereas, i think this bug is about extended desktop needing to be altered to mirrored effectively by the app (but doesn't seem to be)...altho i need to reverify X's behavior (but i'm pretty sure it didn't match)

I'm closing this as it probably relates to the old XMir and is a use case we're currently not tackling. Please re-open if that is not the case.
