Bug Description

Has prevented a full installation of 14.04 upgrade. But, so far, this bug seems to be less of a problem than it was under previous distros. For instance, I now have text on, and ability to use, my command terminal which I did not before. And I once again have the X max/min emblems in the upper left hand corner of firefox windows so I dont have to guess or close the same from the left hand icon ar.
