xmoto closes randomly in intrepid

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xmoto
Usually, running the game X-moto (package: "xmoto") is okay, but when actually playing the game, the program closes out randomly. It doesn't freeze, it just closes, as though I clicked on the close button at the top right of the window.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, and X-moto version 0.4.2.

Just in case this helps, X-moto worked just fine in Hardy, but it stopped working well when I switched to Intrepid.
