Bug Description
Note: this is similar to bug #1047785 and might/probably be the same underlying issue, but is arrived at in a different way and results in a different error
On a fairly virgin install of the Quantel beta:
$ sudo apt-get install xmonad
reboot
select "GNOME with Xmonad" from lightdm
attempt to login
the screen redraws, sometimes to a blank screen, sometimes to the lightdm screen.
the error 'Failed to load session "xmonad"' is displayed on a popup.
pressing OK on the popup takes me back to lightdm.
