audacious just segfaults (crossfade-plugin needs to be recompiled)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: audacious

it just segfaults, nothing else. no log in /var/crash

$ audacious
Segmentation fault

$ dpkg -l audaci*

It seems to have something to do with one of the plugins. Deinstalling audacious-crossfade and audacious-plugins-extra made audacious at least start up.

As I have said now several times, it's the crossfade plugin. It needs to
be rebuilt. In Debian, this was done via binNMU.

well, thanks William for the information. It would be nice to also mark the relevant bugs dupe, then, which I have just started to work on. That way, it also becomes easier to sport during the process of reporting a "new" bug.

Sorry, I guess, William meant audacious-crossfade. although xmms-crossfade might have the same bug. resetting back to new

sorry again, I just became aware that xmms-crossfade is the source for both xmms-crossfade and audacious-crossfade, it seems.
