Bug Description

Binary package hint: xl2tpd

xl2tpd sends SIGKILL instead of SIGTERM to pppd. It happens because of the bug from http://bugs.xelerance.com/view.php?id=739, but this issue was actual for pppd 2.4.2, while pppd version 2.4.4 is used in hardy.
To improve this just add DFLAGS+= -DTRUST_PPPD_TO_DIE after DFLAGS= -DDEBUG_PPPD in the Makefile.

And another bug: xl2tpd uses directory /var/run/xl2tpd. This directory doesn't exists after reboot. xl2tpd doesn't create it, but stop - it should create it.

Both fixed in intrepid.

xl2tpd (1.2.0+dfsg-1ubuntu1) intrepid; urgency=low

  [ Carsten Schneemann ]
  * debian/xl2tpd:
    - Create /var/run/xl2tpd if it doesn't exist. Ubuntu mounts /var/run
      on a tmpfs, which is erased every reboot (LP: #243357).

  [ Luca Falavigna ]
  * debian/control:
    - Update Maintainer field as per spec.
