Hi Chris,

Thanks for your bug report.

Can you confirm if this bug is related to the following bug?
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/49047

It may look like a stupid question, but do you have both PS/2 and USB mouse and keyboard connected at the same time?

Thanks

Mathieu, I did not have two keyboards or two mice connected at the same time, so my bug report appears to be different. Regards, Chris

Chris,
I assume you are using a USB mouse with a PS/2 adapter. Is that correct?

Mathieu, the USB mouse was plugged directly into a USB port, not into a PS/2 adapter. The other mouse was PS/2. --Chris

I would suspect an Xorg issue

Hi cwrather,

Have you tested this with feisty? Does it still occur?

Could you attach the output of the following commands?

$ xprop -root | grep XKB

$ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
