Bug Description

Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

This occurred upon upgrading to 9.04. Keys got re-mapped, up arrow key is delete, delete got re-mapped to print screen.

Package manager reports xkb-data to be "broken" apon trying to fix, it fails with this error.

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/xkb-data_1.5-2ubuntu11_all.deb: unable to make backup link of `./usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/olpc' before installing new version

That directory is not read-only, and I can remove or add files to it, except the "olpc" file. Even as root I cannot change that file in any way.

Although you cannot move or delete the ./usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/olpc file. I was able to restore the functionality of my keyboard keys by coping the entire symbols folder someplace else, then coping all the files except the olpc one back.
