xkeyboard use pc105 instead of macintosh

Hello,

This bug has already been filed with a wish to update the french keyboard layout for macintosh.

Their is a BIG BIG problem in X keyboard configuration in ubuntu ppc for a while. Ubuntu still use pc105 keymap instead of macintosh.

Wether this keymap is obsolete or not (this is another bug), ubuntu MUST configure properly this keyboard.

I can't understand why this bug still exist. I just can't offer an ubuntu CD to mac users because they won't be able to use correctly their ubuntu on mac without reconfiguring X which is not very user friendly.

I have just read an article "linux over ibook" in Linux pratique, a linux end user magazine. This article begin like that : "The only technical part concern a tiny keyboard configuration bug.". I'm very sad to see that this bug is filed for a while.

So please, resolve this bug :(

This appears to be the same bug as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2870 which was fixed by the 0.8 upload to dapper a few days ago. Can you verify that the bug is indeed fixed?

Hello,

This is worst than ever since ppc users do not have gfxboot. PPC
users can't chooser neither language nor keymap. I'm really
disappointed to see this key feature not available for one of the 3
official arch.

X run out of freq on my iMac G3 (blank screen) and the live does not
even boot on my iMac G5 (see https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-
devel/2006-March/016724.html ). I will ask my brother if he wants to
test i on his ibook G4.

Hello,

I tested the livecd, and espresso crash before juste before showing
the list of keymap available (the list_store is not filled). I won't
test further without my brother :).

I reopen the bug since pc105 is still used on Mac.
