Letter missing in Latvian keymap

Bug Description

After installation of 14.04LTS I noticed a letter in Latvian keymap missing.

When typed AltGray (Right-Alt) + E it should give out ē, but types €.
Capital Ē is typed correctly by typing AltGr+Shift+E.

Please correct because it is very annoying not to be able to type a character, one of the frequently necessary ones.

Thank you!

Thanks for your report, but I can't reproduce the behaviour you describe. Exactly which Latvian keyboard layout are you talking about?

Dear Gunnar,

Please see the "keyboard layout chart":

It is (normal) e, (shift) E, (Alt Gr) €, (shift + Alt Gr) Ē, but no
possibility to produce lover case Ē, what normally should be (Alt Gr) .

I tried to install all of them but the normal qwertyuiop asdfghjkl zxcvbnm
- (alt gr) qw€ŗtyūīōp āšdfģhjķļ žxčvbņm layout that normally most people
use is missing the l.c. Ē.

The bug is expired, but please see this and reply if I have to renew the
request. Thank you!

Thanks for your additional info. It's a mystery, because I still can't reproduce it; please see my screenshot.

<Alt Gr> + E indeed gives € on several latin keyboards - including Swedish, which I'm using - but when switching to the Latvian keyboard layout, <Alt Gr> + E generates a ē character, and I need to type <Alt Gr> + 4 to get a €.

Which Ubuntu flavour are you using, btw?

Re-opening this bug in the hope that someone else sees it.

Hello, Gunnar,

I have a normal Ubuntu from the site. System language though is English, as
I don't like Lithuanian translation (I am a translator myself, so I am
picky).
I checked once again all the versions and normal Latvian and apostrophe
version have the same layout, i.e. missing e dash.

Attaching the shots.

Regards,

Ričardas
