I run update on Ubuntu 12.04 64Bit on 2014-03-07, and after restarting my pc, the keyboard volume wheel doesn't adjust the volume in Ubuntu OS anymore.
Keyboard is Dell X295D Multimedia USB Keyboard (Greek)
I can confirm that the volume wheel is not malfunctioned because the volume wheel trigger is detectable in Settings>
