Using xine-ui fullscreen generates metacity warning

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xine-ui

Description of the problem:
When xine-ui changes its window to fullscreen a warning is generated by metacity.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gnome-terminal .
2. In the gnome-terminal type
tail -f ~/.xsession-errors
.
3. Start xine .
4. Press f to go fullscreen and then q then f again to return to windowed mode.

Expected results:
No extra output in the gnome-terminal.

Actual results:
The following is output:
Window manager warning: Treating resize request of legacy application 0x32003c9 (xine: Ther) as a fullscreen request

How reproducible is this problem?
This problem is reproducible every time.
