[Hardy Heron] Some formats including quicktime (.mov) and m4v stop playing with xine after upgrade

Binary package hint: totem-xine

After running update-manager the xine backend no longer supports .mov or .m4v formats. This means that I can not play such files in either totem-xine or miro. The output of totem-xine debug is below.
