Bug Description
When connecting a full hd display using the display port of my MacBook 2,1 xfwm4 uses much CPU. The system becomes unresponsive and nearly unusable. When I set the external display as my main display, this setting does not show any effect. System becomes responsive again when I unplug the external display. The workspace preview in the panel is not updated though, it still shows the size of two displays.
Please tell me if you need more information and what I could do to provide it.

It is the compositor. CPU load keeps low when I deactivate the compositor before connecting the display. Many other issues stay though:
- Position of the second display is not remembered - have to adjust it every time.
- Windows are positioned the wrong way - they are repositioned adjusting to the height of the second screen, but not to the screen they are displayed on
- Setting one display as main does not have any effect, panels etc stay where they were
